Connect your external calendars to Thunderbird Appointment to ensure your availability is always accurate. This prevents conflicts and double-bookings by automatically marking busy times!
Access Calendar Settings
- Log in to the Thunderbird Appointment site. This will land you on your dashboard.
- In the top navigation bar, click "Settings."
- Scroll down until you see the section marked "Connected Applications."
Connect Google Calendar
- Click the "Add Google Calendar" button.
- You will be redirected to Google to sign in to your Google account and grant necessary permissions to Thunderbird Appointment. Follow the on-screen prompts.
- Once permissions are granted, you will be redirected back to Thunderbird Appointment. Your Google Calendar should now be listed under "Connected Applications."
Connect CalDAV Calendar
- Click the "Add CalDAV" button.
- Type your CalDAV Username. This is often your email address.
- Paste the URL of your calendar in the Location field. This is typically provided by your calendar service (such as iCloud, Outlook.com, or Fastmail) and is typically (but not always) formatted like this example: https://domain.com/dav/username/calendar.
- Enter your Password for that service.
- Click "Connect."
- Select the calendar you wish to sync from the list provided and confirm.
- Your CalDAV calendar should now be listed under "Connected Applications."
Syncing Confirmation
After connecting, Thunderbird Appointment will begin syncing with your chosen calendars. Busy slots from these calendars will appear as unavailable in your booking schedule.
