What characters can I use in my Thundermail address?

Your Thundermail address can include letters, digits, and a set of special characters, with a few rules around periods.

What’s allowed

1. Letters and digits: any combination, in any order.
2. Special characters: ! # $ % & ' * + - / = ? ^ _ ` { } | ~
3. Periods: allowed, but not at the very start or end, and never two in a row.
4. Case: doesn’t matter. Your address is stored and matched in lowercase no matter how you type it.
5. Length: between 3 and 150 characters.

These rules apply the same way whether you’re setting your primary address or adding an alias.
