DAVx5 is a third-party, open-source app. It is not officially recommended, endorsed, or supported by Thundermail or MZLA. We share it as an example that works well for connecting your calendar on Android. Please review it yourself, and direct any questions about the app to its developers.
Thundermail includes one default CalDAV calendar. Here are the steps to connect it on Android for a popular calendar app, DAVx5 (these instructions should be similar for other Android calendar apps):
- Create an app password, or use your previously generated app password.
- On your Android device, open the DAVx5 app.
- Tap “+.“
- Under “Generic login,“ select “Login with email address“ and tap “Continue.“
- In the “Email address“ field, type in your primary Thundermail email address (such as nemo@thundermail.com).
- In the “Password“ field, type in your app password.
- Tap “Login“ and then “Finish.“
- For each Thundermail calendar, move the slider to the right to enable synchronization.
Here are the steps to create a new Thundermail calendar
- Open the DAVx5 app and tap on your Thundermail account (such as nemo@thundermail.com).
- Tap on “CalDAV“ > the three dots menu (⋮) > “Create calendar.“
- Type in a Title, such as “Second Thundermail calendar.“
- Tap “Create calendar“ at the bottom
- Move the slider to the right for your new calendar to enable synchronization.
All done! View your Thundermail calendar in an Android, iOS or desktop calendar app like Google Calendar or Thunderbird to view, add, edit, and remove events.
